Phragmites (Phragmites australis) are invasive plants that threaten the biodiversity of our wetlands. By forming dense colonies, they smother native plants and reduce the habitat available for local wildlife.
Join us for a day of community action at Lac des Battures! Together, we will cut invasive phragmites to allow native species to reclaim their place. All necessary equipment will be provided. Bring appropriate clothing, waterproof boots and water.
No experience required -- we will show you the proper cutting techniques on site. Every action counts to protect our local ecosystem!
